Farhan Zia is an award-winning marketing strategist and consultant with more than a decade's experience growing brands both small and large. His diverse background spans several industries including financial services, fashion, transportation and telecommunications. He holds an MBA from the Ted Rogers School of Management, during which he was named one of Canada's Next Top 25 Ad Executives.
Farhan is active in Toronto's innovation ecosystem as a TEDx Delegate, a Digital Citizen Advisor to the City of Toronto and the co-author of the National Angel Capital Organization's report on startup funding and private capital markets.
Currently with Ryerson University, Farhan leads the strategic marketing, communications and advertising efforts for reputation and recruitment of all graduate programs, Canada's largest undergraduate business school and Ryerson's newest campus in Brampton, Ontario (coming in 2022). Additionally, Farhan is the marketing lead for Zone Learning, Ryerson's network of 10 industry-specific startup incubators which includes the DMZ, the #1 ranked university-based tech incubator in the world.
